if everyone hates carlos, why is he still getting signed, to this day, for new gigs? Why doesn't Joe Rogan (and i like joe, don't get me wrong) have an HBO or Showtime special? Ari Shaffir? Funny dude, but where has he been? It's about commercial sustainability for these people... this is their 9-5... people don't realize that... this is their JOB. THey get it done how they see fit and if nobody calls them on it (ie stop buying tickets to his shows) then why should he do any different?

Draconian Lover. you make a valid point. but carlos didn't get "no strings attached" for the bill cosby bit. He was signed for that show well before he told that joke on it (the show) so your analogy, while logical, is lacking a bit in substance although i do see your point. The music industry is plagued with the same type of thing, but nobody writes blog after blog about musicians who "Sample" beats and melodies for their songs... or hollywood for rehashing the same crap movies....

Sorry guys... i hate to burst your bubble. every comedian does that to some extent. That joke was told 30 years ago (almost) we're really going to hold carlos to the fire for that? So are we to expect every commedian to check each of his jokes to see if someone told something similar? "Comedy" isn't the business like it was a long time ago. nobody kept track of anything.... yeah, carlos probably shouldn't have done something as close to bill like he did, but oh well, i laughed. job done.
